During my saturday excursion, my mother and I went to bridal shop to try to find a dress. Fruitless. *sigh* time is ticking.... Anyways. The point is what was next door to the bridal shop. A brand new antique store. It made the long drive to the useless bridal shop worth it! The place was absolutely charming. I wanted to buy half the store. If anybody has a extra 900 bucks laying around would they like to donate it to me? I saw a kitchen table and chair set that would look really good in my imaginary kitchen. An extra 20 or 50 would be much appreciated for all the other odds and ends that were calling my name... To make the place even more unique, the store owners were two guys who looked like they should own Harley Davidson motorcycles. Tattoos, cut off tees, beer bellies and all. But they were absolute teddy bears, and they really knew their stuff! All the sweet little old ladies that were in there just ate them up.
To those of you who think stores like Goodwill, and hole in the wall antique stores are trashy, you should really give it a try. You don't find something good every time, but sometimes you score big.
That was the most exciting thing that happened this weekend, but I have higher hopes for next!
Glad you found stuff, I always end up getting stuff that I throw away afterwards.
